Lake Forest’s oldest soccer program is bringing you an in-house program for 5-7 year old boys and girls.   Now in our 2nd year, the Young Scout’s League will provide your son or daughter the opportunity to learn soccer skills from nationally licensed coaches at weekly skill sessions and give them the opportunity to participate in weekly games against other teams in the program.  The Young Scout’s League has been designed to allow athletic kids who have may already be involved in AYSO soccer, but would like to learn from nationally certified coaches. 

The fall season will begin after Labor Day.

YSIL will provide one skill session a week(your choice of 2 different days) for all boys and girls. Our weekly sessions are planned and designed to focus on ball skills and ball handling. Our eight weekly sessions in the fall are designed to teach dribbling skills in weeks 1 thru 4, and basic passing and receiving skills in weeks 5-8 with an emphasis on ball control. Spring sessions will reinforce dribbling, passing, receiving and introduce shooting.  Excellent progression to travel soccer.

All practice and games are held in Lake Forest.

Summer camp is a fun training opportunity for children 7-12 years old.  Foot drills and small sided games teach young players fundamentals and tactical situations.  Camp sessions will be full of structured activities in a safe and supervised atmosphere by LFSA’s professional trainers. 
 
July 14-July 18th  at Everett Park     
Full day sessions include lunch and a ball.   All participants receive a t-shirt

Hi Everyone,
While the season got off to a slow start due to Mother Nature, our Young Scouts took to the fields and showed off there prowess as blooming soccer players.  Our last game will be this weekend  June 7th.  We are on week 7.  Week 8 will not be made up as many families are leaving town now that school is out. 

To celebrate the end of the season, we will be having a short field-side donut/ pizza party following the games.

Pictures are ready!  Please pick up this Saturday or make arrangements with the office to pick up at a later date.

Thanks for a great year and we look forward to seeing your kids on the fields next year either with LFSA Travel or again with Young Scouts.  Have a soccerific summer!

Boys U9 White finished FIRST place in their division!

BoysU9 Blue took Second Place in the U10 division (playing up)!



Boys U11 took First Place in their bracket to advance to the Quarter Finals!

Hi everyone,

Kick-off night was so much fun.  Thanks for all the families who attended especially the managers!  Be sure to thank your team manager for all that they do to help our teams run smoothly.  We couldn't have such a successful soccer club without them!

While the volume was high and pizzas were flying, we found time to meet with our coaches and get a good grip on the season to come.  Perhaps next year, I will borrow my daughter's karaoke machine to allow us to speak to the entire group.

The Coaches scrimmage was a hit as always.  Some of our assistant coaches even suited up.  Let's hear it for our Head Coaches who so generously volunteer to be tackled after each goal year after year! 

Go Scouts!  You guys are a great group and I'm looking forward to a great year.
